Steve Troncone has worked in the court reporting field for 12 years in multiple areas including videography, production, technology support and trial presentations. He has been working with Mike Mobley Reporting since May 2016.
From’s Steve perspective:
What do you enjoy about what you do?
Every case is a new story and getting to know pieces of that story for the little bit of time I spend as a part of it can be both fascinating and educational. Every time I walk into a new deposition or trial I have the opportunity to meet new people and/or learn something new.
What’s one of the most interesting things you’ve encountered in the court reporting field?
Working in Las Vegas brought with it some uniquely colorful cases and situations and left me with no shortage of surreal stories.
Background:
I grew up and lived in Louisville, Kentucky most of my life with the exception of about a year living in Las Vegas during my 20s. In 2010, I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where I am in the process of settling down with my fiancé.
I went to Eastern Kentucky University where I studied English Literature and Journalism. I’ve also worked in tech support for a cable internet company.
Family and Personal Life:
I’m excited to be getting married in November of 2016 to my fiancé Catherine and starting a family. I also have a hilariously lazy border collie named Truman. Outside of work, I have an extensive and ever growing board game collection (60+) and enjoy organizing meetups to indulge that hobby. I also love binge watching TV shows from Game of Thrones to The Office. During the Fall and Spring I am a passionate fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and UK Wildcats.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know?
I’m a geek and a problem solver, if there is a new or existing technology that I can apply to a situation to either fix a problem or make things easier, I will find it and make it work.
